Pulmonary Responses to Inhaled ParticlesRole of Vasoactive Substances
Sami I. Said, MD
Arch Intern Med. 1970;126(3):475-476.
Abstract
Many vasoactive substances are removed or altered during passage through the lung. It is reasonable to speculate that impairment of this function of the lung by cell injury, such as may result from inhaled irritants, could be a factor in the initiation or aggravation of acute and chronic pathologic responses in the lung.
