Abnormalities of Carbohydrate and Lipid Metabolism in Uremia

Edwin L. Bierman, MD

Arch Intern Med. 1970;126(5):790-792.

Abstract

A variety of abnormalities of glucose, insulin, and triglyceride transport have been observed in uremia. Most of these abnormalities appear to be interrelated and are reversible with amelioration of the uremic state.
