Abstract
In a patient with myeloma, the serum concentration of the monoclonal immunoglobulin usually bears a direct relationship with the tumor burden as the disease waxes and wanes. In three cases, the level of the monoclonal protein fell as the plasma cell mass increased. Possible explanations of this observation are discussed.
