Abstract
Acute, severe aortic regurgitation is usually a life-threatening cardiac emergency that often requires urgent aortic valve replacement. A prompt, reliable, and painless diagnosis by echocardiography has overridden the difficulties in clinical recognition and has obviated the need for invasive studies. Herein, two representative cases are reported.
