Abstract
Familial hypogammaglobulinemia was found to exist in a large kindred. Phenotyping of 1-antitrypsin in 31 persons from seven families related to the patient in the index case suggests linkage of hypogammaglobulinemia with the protease inhibitor locus for 1-antitrypsin.
