I greatly enjoyed the article by Simon1 that appeared recently in the ARCHIVES. It is important for the interested reader to know that all 10 of the authentic medical works of Maimonides are now available in English in 7 volumes.2-8 Several additional spurious treatises attributed to Maimonides, including the famous Physician's Prayer (also known as Oath of Maimonides), have also been published in English.9
Any single work from his famous trilogy of masterpieces, The Commentary on the Mishnah, The Legal Code of Maimonides (Mishneh Torah), and The Guide for the Perplexed, would have indelibly recorded Maimonides' name for posterity. Over and above these multivolume classic texts and his 10 medical books, however, he also authored the Book on Logic, the Book of Commandments, the Epistle to Yemen, the Treatise on Resurrection, and several hundred letters and responses.10
