I have just read, with some disbelief, the article by Eskinazi¹ that was recently published in the ARCHIVES. It is disturbing that it was accompanied by no commentary. The only commentary that I could identify in the same issue of the ARCHIVES was a letter to the editor² discussing systematic research in alternative medicine (basically it is nonexistent).

I can only assume that we are to validate or invalidate the information provided by Eskinazi on our own. By providing a forum without commentary, the ARCHIVES seems to be advocating this position.

I will not go into a point-by-point discussion of Eskinazi's article, but overall the science is poor and the logic tortuous.
