High Heart Rates at Anaerobic Threshold in Healthy Women

We have read with great interest the Original Investigation by De Becker and colleagues1 titled "Exercise Capacity in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome," which was published in the November 27, 2000, issue of the ARCHIVES.
Incorrect figures were inadvertently submitted forFigures 1, 2, 3, and 4. In the ARCHIVES of September 10, 2001, these figures were reprinted correctly.
After studying the corrected figures, we question if these are correct. For example, in about 15 healthy controls (Figure 1 A) the heart rate at the anaerobic threshold was above 225 beats/min. These are very high heart rates for healthy controls. When compared with the numbers given in Table 1 of the original article, it seems that the original figures are more correct. Can the editor or the principal investigator confirm this?
