In the article titled "Cost-effectiveness of Noninvasive Diagnostic Aids in Suspected Pulmonary Embolism," published in the November 10, 1997, issue of the ARCHIVES (Arch Intern Med. 1997;157:2309-2316), erroneous text inadvertently appears in the beginning of reference 10 on page 2316. The reference should begin with the author name of Bounameaux H. The journal regrets the error.
