ANNOUNCEMENTS

Series on the Growth of Medicine.

—Northwestern University Medical School will present another series of papers on the Growth of Medicine at the Ward Building, 303 Chicago Ave., Chicago. The subjects and the dates are as follows:

International Congress of Gastroenterology.

—The Sixth Meeting of the Association of the National European and Mediterranean Societies of Gastroenterology, organized by the Association of Dutch Gastroenterologists, will be held in Leiden, the Netherlands, from April 20 to 24, 1960.

The main themes of the conference will be ( 1 ) pathology of the small intestine and (2) hepatitis, cirrhosis hepatis, and their possible connection.

Panel discussions, lectures and film shows will be arranged in connection with these themes and related subjects. Scientific and technical-commercial exhibits will tie also organized.
