The second edition of this textbook of general urology is an improvement of the original edition and represents a more uniform and consistent presentation of materials. The core concepts of urology are succintly presented in outline form, and the excellent, anatomically correct drawings of Ralph Sweet are masterfully combined with reproductions of x-ray films and histologic preparations. One consistent annoyance was the poor photoengraving of the x-ray films. Many are too dark. However, the combination with illustrations and photomicrographs in ample proportions provides excellent, convenient illumination of the text. This paperback edition of "General Urology" is an excellent textbook for medical students and those medical practitioners who wish a concise presentation of basic urologic information.
