The subject of nutrition holds little appeal for the average practicing physician or medical student. This unfortunate situation arises in part from ignorance but perhaps to a greater extent from the didactic and unattractive manner in which the subject has been presented to them in the past. The increasing importance of nutrition in therapy of patients has begun to impress itself upon the minds of clinicians and research workers alike. Unfortunately, the gap between interest and information has narrowed but little.

In a concise and readable volume Solomon Garb has presented the fundamental aspects of therapeutic nutrition in a fashion suitable for presentation to student nurses and medical students. This has been done in such an admirable fashion that many physicians in practice will wish to own this book. The information is well organized and concisely presented.
