Dr. Noah D. Fabricant has prepared and edited a number of anthologies. He has dealt with stories, quotations for doctors and patients, a treasury of doctor stories, the world's best doctor stories, and why we became doctors. Of his specialty of diseases of the nose and throat he has written books about the common cold, nasal medications, and headaches. The present anthology consists of original contributions from thirty-one different doctors. Fabricant selected them for one reason or another, reasons so diverse as to make the book a miscellany rather than an anthology. Individual contributions are in many different forms. Some are short stories; some autobiographical sketches. Most tell of more-or-less factual incidents in the lives and experience of the contributors. On the whole they make entertaining bedside reading. This would be a pleasant book for a vacation.
