This is the eighth edition of an outline review of physiological chemistry familiar to most medical students in this country, and probably familiar to many interns and residents as well. There have been few stylistic changes in the presentation of material, but the entire text has been set in a 2-column format which does make for easier reading. Appended to each chapter is a surprisingly current bibliography. Many references to the literature of 1960 and even a few to papers and books published in 1961 are included, as well as key references to earlier work of significance.

Dr. Harper defines his book "... as a supplement and as a companion volume to larger standard texts and reference books," and for this purpose the present edition is as admirably constructed as its predecessors.
