When I submitted my manuscript, "Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans Endocarditis" (ARCH INTERN MED117:99-102 [Jan] 1966), I was unaware that an almost identical organism was already described by R.G. Mitchele and W.A. Gillespie in the Journal of Clinical Pathology (17:511, 1964).
