This is an Australian addition to the growing number of small volumes about electrocardiography which have been spawned regularly since Burch and Winsor's text in 1945. Teaching electrocardiography entirely by rote from such a booklet has little merit, particularly since good teaching atlases and textbooks are now available. The text is imprecise and often repetitious. The illustrations are poorly prepared. In addition, the publishers have spent little effort to make the book attractive.
