The authors have contributed a medium sized neurology textbook to the growing number available today. It is the latest and in that sense it contains much new information the others do not have in their latest editions; it is therefore the most desirable. For example it deals with the treatment of Parkinson's disease with levodopa (L-DOPA), gives the latest information on hereditary chemical deficiencies, and incorporates much new knowledge on the physiology of cerebrovascular disease, a lot of which has come from the authors' laboratories. The book is otherwise not much different from the others available except that it is somewhat larger and somewhat more detailed.
The minute details included in books of this size continue to be a wonder. Every disease affecting man's nervous system is included. There is often little more than a mention of the fact that the condition exists, which is hardly any help. If the
