This is a little book deserving only of a little review and only of a little praise. The papers presented at the Second Migraine Symposium at the National Hospital, Queen Square, on Nov 24, 1967, are herein recorded (and truly not all of these papers are worthy of recording). The chapter on "Variants of Migraine" while reflecting the authors' wide experience is none the less quite restricted, and material in other chapters has been published previously. The chapter on "Therapy" might well be found in any current pharmacology text.
The justification for publication of papers presented at symposia is generally that current information is correlated, interpreted in a meaningful manner, summarized or things are brought up-to-date, etc. I feel that the second symposium falls short in all respects, and so does this volume. It is perhaps worthy of an evening's perusal, but not the whole evening.
