This book presents a series of papers delivered by the various participants in a conference on nutrition and renal disease held at the University of Manchester in 1967; it is edited by G. M. Berlyne. The papers presented covered various facets of nutrition and dietary management in renal disease, including a very comprehensive section on basic protein and nitrogen metabolism in the patient with renal disease. The articles are contributed by an outstanding panel of experts in this field who are working very actively in all aspects of nutrition and dietary management of patients with renal disease. It brings together in one volume, material which is widely scattered in the literature.
