This book has been compiled by various authors in an effort to gather material dealing with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in a single volume. The Table of Contents suggests that the book is very comprehensive, with subjects ranging from the pathologic anatomy of non-Hodgkin lymphomas through the biochemical, immunological, and clinical aspects of these diseases, to the various modalities of therapy and complications. In addition, related subjects, such as sarcoidosis, macroglobulinemia, myelomatosis, and histiocytosis, are included. There are some excellent chapters, such as the ones on hematological manifestations of malignant lymphomas (chapter 4), radiotherapy (chapter 7), diagnosis with radioactive isotopes (chapter 8), and the two chapters on Burkitt tumor (chapters 11 and 12). The quality of other chapters is not uniform, and there is considerable overlap of subjects, which is mentioned by the editor in the preface.
