Kenneth Rosen 1937-1982

With the death of Kenneth Rosen, MD, professor of medicine and chief of the section of cardiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, the field of cardiology in the United States has suffered a major loss.

A native of New York and a graduate of the New York University and the Chicago Medical School, Dr Rosen received his training in internal medicine and cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. His training in electrophysiology took place at the Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, New York, with Anthony Damato, MD. Dr Rosen worked with Rolf Gunnar, MD, at Cook County (Illinois) Hospital from 1969 to 1972 and was appointed section chief of the section of cardiology at the University of Illinois Medical Center in 1972.
