Incorrect Wording, Extra Wording, and Incorrect Spelling.

Since this article does not have an abstract, we have provided the first 150 words of the full text PDF and any section headings.

—In the article entitled "Systolic Hypertension: Direct and Indirect BP Measurements," published in the May ARCHIVES (1983;132:935-938), a sentence contained incorrect wording. On page 935, right-hand column, in the first line under "Patients and Methods," the entire sentence should have read as follows: "The study group consisted of 26 consecutively seen ambulatory men who were initially seen at the hypertension clinic with systolic hypertension and whose systolic BP (measured in both arms) varied less than 6 mm Hg."

On page 936, left-hand column, in the 21st line, the word "noted" should have been deleted. The entire sentence (beginning in line 19) should have read: "Since the fastest heart rate among our patients was 86 beats per minute, our recording system should have a flat frequency response at 14 Hz."

Also on page 936, left- and right-hand columns, a word was misspelled: in line 19 (left-hand column) and in line 10 . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
