This multiauthored text covers the entire field of radionuclide bone imaging, including radiopharmaceuticals, basic localization mechanisms, imaging techniques, dosimetry, and an exhaustive portrayal of clinical conditions in which radionuclide bone imaging may be performed. Each chapter is a complete treatment of a particular topic. This makes all information concerning one topic, such as osteomyelitis or trauma, readily available in one place. It also makes for a good deal of redundancy in the book. However, the chapters are well written, profusely and well illustrated, well referenced, and current.

Although the discussion concerning metastatic neoplasm attempts to place the use of radionuclide bone imaging in the perspective of clinical usefulness and there is a correlative chapter concerning skeletal radiography, most of the book simply presents the findings of the radionuclide bone image in a variety of conditions and has little or no discussion assessing the utility of the approach in the clinical . . .
