To the Editor.
—As a practicing internist and allergist, I was pleased to see publication of the investigation by Abba I. Terr, MD, in the January 1986 issue of the ARCHIVES, pointing out the fallacies of the clinical ecology approach to subjective symptoms.1I applaud Terr's courage in studying a controversial practice that is so vigorously defended.2 It is refreshing to find physician-scientists with academic credentials willing to perform such tasks.
It is unfortunate that Dr Soffer did not publish his lead editorial, "Clues to the Cultist," until the March issue of the ARCHIVES3 and that he did not reference Terr's article.
