—In the editorial entitled "Changing Group A Streptococci: The Reappearance of Streptococcal 'Toxic Shock,' " published in the June 1988 issue of the ARCHIVES (1988;148:1268-1270), an error appeared on page 1269, column 2, line 48. The sentence reads, "These mucoid strains are not being found again in communities in which rheumatic fever has reappeared in focal epidemics in Utah, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.^14-16" The sentence should have read, "These mucoid strains are now being found again in communities in which rheumatic fever has reappeared in focal epidemics in Utah, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.^14-16" . . .
