In the article entitled "American Medical Association White Paper on Elderly Health" that appeared in the December 1990 issue of the ARCHIVES (Arch Intern Med. 1990;150:2459-2472) an error appeared on page 2459, in the second column, lines 5 through 10. The text read as follows: "The elderly constitute a group that makes extensive use of the health care system.
