This is a portion of an encyclopedia of clinical medicine compiled by Langstein, VON Noorden and Schittenhelm. It is typically German in its thoroughness. If one desires a reference book wherein one may find a consideration of all treatments ever recommended for any gastric condition, this work fills the requirement. It is complete. For any other purpose, however, such a compilation is of little value. The treatment of gastric disorders is neither as complicated nor as difficult as this volume would indicate.
