In 1928, an analysis of 213 cases in which the patients were relieved of their asthma for more than two years was published in the ARCHIVES.¹ In that article, a clinical classification of the so-called "cured" cases was presented, and a serious attempt was made to define the reason for the "cure." Now, four years later, it is of interest to check up the same 213 cases to see just how permanent the actual "cure" has been and perhaps to throw further light on the mechanism of this "cure." The original article showed the results after two years. Now, an additional four years has been added, and the present article deals with the results six years after the last study and treatment.
