The first edition of this manual appeared in 1928. The ARCHIVES OF INTERNAL MEDICINE (42:610 [Oct.] 1928) and the Journal of the American Medical Association (91:1928 [Oct. 20] 1928) contained reviews of it, both reviews speaking well of the book. The second edition is a few pages longer than the first and has a few more illustrations. The manual continues to be an intelligent booklet, useful for both diabetic patients and practitioners or students who wish to brush up on practical diabetic therapy.
