This issue of the proceedings of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kreislaufforschung consists of forty-three reports, lectures and discussions by as many different observers on the subject of circulatory collapse. The discussions include such subjects as circulatory collapse as related to internal medicine and surgery, significance of muscle tonus in postoperative shock, carbonic acid and collapse, changes in capillary permeability in the capillary beds and many other physiologic, pharmacologic and therapeutic aspects of the subject. The discussions are extensive and cover the subject completely. There are many illustrations accompanying the presentations, which increase the value considerably.
