The reviewer has looked with pleasure through the delightful volume of transactions of the Charaka Club. It seems a pity that the proceedings of an intimate group, meeting not only on scientific but on social grounds, should be thrown open to the public by placing the book on the general market. Members speak in serious or in lighter vein, and while many of the articles represent original investigation of medical-historical subjects, others are obviously occasional pieces or at least discourses intended for an intimate group.
