This book deals briefly and somewhat diagrammatically with clinical biochemistry from the point of view of the practicing physician. There is a great deal of useful information which gives one a quick orientation on biochemical matters. Here and there one feels the lack of discussion of fundamentals, but further discussion would doubtless increase the size of the book unduly. The reviewer is inclined to criticize the chapter on gastric function, which is inadequate and deals with the subject from an out of date point of view.
