Second Graduate Course in Internal Medicine, Vanderbilt University Medical School.
—This course consists of supervised work with patients in the medical outpatient service, including the related specialties; experience in the diagnostic laboratories; assigned reading, seminars and conferences, including pathologic and radiologic conferences and autopsy study, and directed study and seminars in the preclinical sciences, particularly physiology and biochemistry. Special investigation of a particular problem in one of the divisions of internal medicine as the basis of a thesis will be required. The course extends over a period of one year and is open to physicians who have completed an internship, have had an additional year's experience as assistant resident in medicine or its equivalent and are acceptable to the school. The second course begins July 1, 1940. The tuition fee is $300.
