Here indeed is an excellent book of convenient size including the essentials of materia medica, toxicology and pharmacology. Introductory chapters deal with such subjects as basic principles of pharmacology, prescription writing and toxicology, and these are followed by systematic discussions of various groups of drugs. Of special value to the physician are the pages dealing with newer drugs, in regard to which material is hard to find in most textbooks.
