This book, small in size, is based on a teaching outline. The book is a praiseworthy attempt to present the essential general diagnostic features of health and disease. General diagnosis is a complicated subject, and an understanding of the signs and symptoms of disease cannot be obtained from such an outline. The book, however, is excellent for purposes of review and should be valuable to students and young physicians and surgeons who are preparing for examinations.
