The names of the writers, J. A. Miller, Tracy Putnam, A. A. Brill, Gesell, Jolliffe and Carlson, are enough to guarantee the high quality of the lectures. The value of medical presentations to the laity is always hard to assess; lecture audiences are notably of mixed intelligence. It seems worth while, therefore, that these discussions should appear in print, so that persons really interested can consider them at leisure.
