The author has divided this book into two parts: The first is a seventy-two page monograph on pulmonary tuberculosis; the second is an atlas of thoracic roentgenology. Each is written briefly and clearly. At the outset, in the first part of the book, pulmonary tuberculosis is discussed in orthodox fashion by a short description of its pathology and methods of diagnosis. Then comes a chapter which is of chief interest to the reader who is not an expert roentgenologist. For here is described roentgenologic technic and interpretation of roentgenograms of the chest. Two excellent chapters on the treatment of tuberculosis follow, the first dealing with methods of medical treatment and the second with modern ways of attacking tuberculosis by surgical measures. Finally, a brief chapter discusses control of the disease.
