History, epidemiology, pathology, symptoms, treatment, etc., are thoroughly discussed, and the bibliographies are adequate. The recent work on preventive vaccination is analyzed, and in general the publisher's statement that the book is based on "extensive clinical experience and exhaustive study of the literature" seems to be justified. . . .
