GENERAL NEWS

Ella Sachs Plotz Foundation for the Advancement of Scientific Investigation.

—Eighteen applications for grants were received by the Trustees of the Ella Sachs Plotz Foundation for the Advancement of Scientific Investigation during 1943. Thirteen of these came from the United States and the other five from five different countries in Europe, Asia and North and South America.

In the twenty years of its existence the Foundation has made four hundred and eighty-one grants, which have been distributed to scientists throughout the world.

The purposes for which the Fund may be used are mentioned in the January 1942 issue of the ARCHIVES, page 159.

Applications for grants to be held during the year 1944-1945 should be sent to Dr. Joseph C. Aub, Massachusetts General Hospital, Fruit Street, Boston, and must be in his hands before April 1944.
