One hundred and fifty-four authors have collaborated under the editorship of Drs. Cecil and Kennedy to produce this book. It is the sixth edition of this well known textbook, which first appeared in 1927. Any work that goes through six editions in fifteen years may be accepted as worth while. The book is familiar to most physicians, but the present edition contains much that is new and much that has been thoroughly rewritten. Aviation medicine, air sickness, virus pneumonia and hirudinea represent a few of the innovations. The form of the book has been changed so that much new material has been added without increasing the already large size too much. As a matter of fact, there are fewer pages, but the larger page size and the arrangement of the material in double columns more than make up for that.
