This is a new book about the heart, well printed on fine paper and well illustrated. It is comprehensive, excellently written and entirely adequate. The pertinent physiology is discussed, and there are comprehensive bibliographies. Nonetheless, one wonders whether this book really adds very much to the many excellent texts already available.
