This excellent monograph describes in detail the clinical histories of five fatal and two nonfatal cases of neonatal toxoplasmosis, with autopsy findings of four of the fatal cases. Serological and immunological data from six patients and their families are compared and the course of dye and complement-fixing antibody titers charted. The pathology and pathogenesis of typical lesions are described accurately and in considerable detail. Methods of diagnosis and their interpretation are described. The bibliography contains 184 references, and there are 36 plates of photomicrographs. For anyone interested in toxoplasmosis this is an accurate text with an abundance of detailed information.
