In this second symposium on shock and circulatory homeostasis, the major space is devoted to an analysis of the metabolic changes in hemorrhagic and traumatic shock (by Frank L. Apart from the excellence of the formal material in these two categories, there is the usual off-the-cuff and stimulating discussion by the multidisciplined participants in the conference.
