This book is in three parts. The first part discusses hemostatic substances; the second part discusses the treatment of hemorrhagic syndromes; the third part discusses the treatment of local hemorrhage from various organs.
This book is of some value to the medical student or busy practitioner. It summarizes, in sketchy fashion, much of what is known in the above subjects. There is. however, no careful analysis of the many facts presented. There is not a single picture or diagram to break into the recital of facts. The bibliography is not complete; nor is it related to the text, since there is no indication in the text as to which article is being referred to. It is, therefore, not recommended for the hematologist, internist, or practitioner who wants to keep up with the latest developments in medicine and surgery.
