ANNOUNCEMENTS

Convention of the Association of Military Surgeons.

—The 61st Annual Convention of the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States will be held Nov. 29-30, Dec. 1, 1954, at the Hotel Statler, Washington, D. C. The program will cover a wide range of professional and scientific subjects which should be of interest to all those engaged in military medicine and the federal health services.

One of the outstanding features is the honors night dinner on Dec. 1, at which the Sir Henry Wellcome Medal and Prize, the Gorgas Medal, the Stitt Award, the McLester Award, the Louis Livingston Seaman Prize, and the Founder's Medal will be presented.

The granting of credit points for retirement to eligible reserve officers for attendance at meetings is expected to be announced soon by the department of defense.
