This book is very interesting reading for one who needs a practical review of the fascinating history and development of our knowledge of the atom. The story is told in a very straightforward way but with enough scientific facts to make even a physician understand for the first time much about the atom that was unknown to him. It is surprising to find that Aristotle's influence was such a forceful detriment to the advancement of the atomic theory. However, from Democritus to E. O. Lawrence the story is a fascinating one and one which most physicians would thoroughly enjoy.
