The first edition of Sandoz Blood Atlas was printed in 1949. This second edition represents revision and enlargement of the first edition. Thirty-four new illustrations, containing seventy separate photographs, have been added. It is again divided into three parts. Part I covers the basic principles of hematology and hematological technique. Part II is devoted to a description of the blood cells and their development. Part III contains 256 illustrations of normal and pathological hematological states. This is an excellent and adequate reference book for both general practitioners and specialists.
