This volume provides an excellent review of the methods employed in establishing environmental sanitation under field conditions. The fact that failures have been discussed along with successes makes the volume more valuable for those likely to be concerned with the subject matter.
The sections on waste disposal, control of insects, and rodent control are particularly valuable to the civilian epidemiologist or sanitary engineer, since many useful agents and methods are discussed. Harry B. Harding, M.D.
