In this, the eighth volume of "Advances in Internal Medicine," Dock and Snapper have kept up the high standard of articles set in previous years. While there is no evident rhyme or reason for the selection of subjects, each is a unit in itself, and all are of interest and importance. Outstanding in the present volume are the authoritative and much-needed reviews on "Aldosterone," by Leutscher, and on "Hemoglobins and Disease," by Watson, although all the articles are of interest and documented with thorough bibliographies.
